Most people travel around the world on a relatively restricted budget and don’t often get the chance to travel first-class or even business class on an airplane unless they manage to swing an upgrade for free or they are working for an international company that allows them to fly business class for business purposes.
The same goes for the various hotels they stay in which are also limited by budgetary constraints however, there are the ultra-wealthy jet setters that will only travel in the most luxurious manner including the amazing top-class frills that come with it. They rather fly in private jets and are driven everywhere by chauffeurs in big luxury cars.
These super-wealthy people will always splurge out on top-class snazzy accommodation in the best and unique destinations that money can buy and often arrive there via a first-class flight or even in their own private planes.
Of course, these wealthy individuals expect a certain level of luxury unavailable to everyday people and nothing but the best will do. The best will cost a crazy amount of money that makes, us, meremortals’ jaws drop. Sometimes, a super-rich family will hire the whole top floor of a mega hotel. The mind boggles at how much that would cost, but it happens on a regular basis in many hotels around the world.
The penny has probably dropped as to where we are going with this. These hotels are the most expensive on the planet and would probably take more than the average person’s annual salary for a one night stay.
So unless you are one of these elite multi-millionaire people or a trust fund youngster with super deep pockets, the best chance of testing out this lifestyle would be a huge lottery jackpot win which also happens on a regular basis.
You would then be in another completely different class financially after your lottery jackpot win. You now never have to work again, if you don't want to, and your bills are easily covered without any financial pressures that you previously endured.
It’s time to splash out on a bit of super-luxury travel and we thought we’d help you with our guide that contains a list of the most expensive hotels in the world. We have listed them below so you can choose the rooms or suites that suit you the best.
The most expensive we found was for a suite that will lighten your wallet by $100,000 for the night. It was designed by artist Damien Hirst.
Palms Casino Resort, Las Vegas

The refurbished hotel has 1395 rooms and suites including one called the ‘Kingpin Suite’ that has a bowling alley inside it and costs a mere $15,000 per night to stay in. It also has one called the ‘Hardwood Suite’ that has its own basketball court for the princely sum of $20,000 a night.
The most expensive room they have is the ‘Empathy Suite’ for the mind-blowing cost of $100,000 for one night.
So what do you get for your money in this hugely expensive 8500 sq ft Damien Hirst designed penthouse Empathy Suite? Well, it has a cantilevered swimming pool that is suspended many hundreds of feet in the air. There are support pillars that are covered in his famous dots, 6 specially commissioned works of art that includes a real shark in a tank of formaldehyde preservative and a thirteen seat bar with amazing views of the Las Vegas ‘Strip.’
Also included are a 24-hour butler service, a chauffeur-driven car and a $10,000 line of credit to use inside the resort.
