Lottery Winners Receives The Millionaire Treatment After Winning $1.00

When lottery organisers end up having a good sense of humour, things can pretty funny. Tyler Heep of Des Moines recently won $1.00 on his scratch card and this is his story…

Online lottery players have all experienced this. You receive a notification saying ‘we have news about your lottery ticket’. What follows is a frantic scramble to log into your account, which you’ve probably forgotten the password to, or your hands start sweating so profusely it’s impossible to enter the password in the first place.

Finally, you’re logged in, and you’ve won… but on closer inspection, you see that it’s a small prize.

This is exactly what happened to Tyler Heep. But, instead of moaning about winning such a little amount, he took to Facebook saying, ‘I told them I’d like one of those big ceremonial cheques as payment. I figured it would be worth a shot and they all thought it was really funny.’

The Millionaire Treatment

We’ve all seen lottery winner stories of people posing with their huge ceremonial lottery cheques. Tyler Heep also dreamed of experiencing all the thrills that come with receiving the millionaire treatment.

So when he won $1 on his scratch card, he jokingly requested that he also receive his lottery prize in an extra-large ceremonial cheque.

They didn’t stop there though. They gave him the full millionaire treatment.

Speaking to the press Mr Heep said, “They decided to treat me just like a million dollar winner.”

“They asked me to come into the lottery headquarters and when I arrived, the guy came down the stairs and they took me into the back room where the camera was with the Iowa Lottery logo on the background. I held it up for the camera and they took a picture.”

To commemorate his big lottery win, Tyler had his giant lottery cheque framed so he can display it on his wall.

As he said, “Sometimes you need a reminder of the good things in life.”
