Brandon Sedin cashed in on good karma when he won $200,000 on the lottery after giving money to a homeless man the previous day.
It’s an old saying that “good things happen to good people.”
After doing a few errands on Monday after leaving work, Sedin gave a few dollars to a homeless man on a street corner. Shortly after his thoughtful gift, Sedin stopped at the Jacksons food store on Milwaukee and Emerald Streets in Boise and decided to buy a few Lottery tickets. Lady Luck must have witnessed the random act of kindness as the following day Sedin won a large sum of money on the lottery.
Talking to lottery officials, Sedin said, “I don’t play that often, but I just felt I should pick some up.” “Wow, talk about karma!”
With the good deed taking place on Monday, Tuesday Sedin scratched and won the top prize on the scratch card.
“I have a big winning ticket,” said Sedin when he presented his winning scratch ticket for payment at the Lottery’s customer service window. “Yeah, it’s a pretty good Tuesday.”
When asked how he plans to spend his lottery winnings, the kind-hearted lottery player said he would be investing it.
Sedin isn’t the only lottery winner that has attributed his lotto luck to good karma.
Jennifer McBride-Scarito of Churchton, USA told lottery officials that she too was rewarded for her good deeds by winning the lottery.
Speaking to lottery officials at the time of winning she said that it was shortly after reuniting a stray dog with its owners that she won $50,000 on the Powerball lottery.
It’s nice to know that good deeds can be rewarded and if winning the lottery comes into play – well even better!
