Amazing Easter Weekend For $533M Mega Millions Jackpot Winner

There’s an extremely eggsited Mega Millions jackpot winner who cracked the winning Mega Millions lottery numbers over the Easter weekend.  No one has come forward to claim the mega win as yet, but what we can tell you is that the winning Mega Millions ticket was sold at the Riverdale Lukoil South station.

Mega Millions Jackpot Resets To $40 Million For April 3 Drawing

With the jackpot being the fourth largest Mega Millions win, everyone is wondering who the world's newest multi-millionaire could be. The owner of the mini-mart where Friday night’s winning Mega Millions ticket was sold, told the media that he even went so far as to review surveillance footage to see if he could confirm his suspicions as to which regular usa lotto customer was in the store.  Based on the time and date purchased received from state lottery officials, owner Ameer Krass told the press on Monday that the winner is a regular customer. He would not say whether the buyer purchased the ticket individually or for a group. However, he can confirm that the winner is male.

Supervisor of investigations for NJ Lottery, Tom Webber said that he take the surveillance footage into possession but confirmed that looking through security-camera video, is something the commission does do.

Lottery spokeswoman MaryAnn Rivell, said that although lottery tickets have the date and time stamped, that people should be cautioned against speculating on the person who will claim the prize.

"Until the ticket is actually validated, they don't have a claim," she said.

With Riverdale about 25 miles northwest of New York City, it has fewer than 5,000 residents so it’s anyone’s guess who the Mega Millions lottery winner is.

Krass, the store owner however, said, “I know them, and they are one of our regulars, which is great. That’s what we were hoping for. Although we have hundreds, maybe thousands of customers, we know the majority of them by face, by name."

He continued saying, “This has always been a lucky station. We may be a highway station but we have that in-town feel.”

Even though he is quite sure who the winner is, he has not tried to contact the winner since the drawing and said that people around him or her should give them, “the space they deserve."

The State of New Jersey requires a lottery winner's name and town to be made public, but just like the latest Powerball winner who ended up having to go to court to keep her identity private, the winner can claim the lotto win through a Trust and thereby keep their identity private. Let’s just hope that this weekend’s Mega Millions winner has not already signed the back of the lottery ticket, kept it safe and is setting up that Trust, if staying anonymous is what they prefer doing. In saying so, there are however, many usa lotto jackpot winners that don’t mind seeing their names up in lights and celebrate their new found mega-wealth with other lottery enthusiasts and the world.

As seen in the past, the jackpots do jump with the increase of ticket sales. Friday was no exception with the jackpot increasing from $521 million to $533 million. With the bump in prize money, the lucky Mega Millions jackpot winner will take home the 10th largest lottery jackpot ever, the fourth largest Mega Millions draw and the largest winning pot in New Jersey.

When the finally come forward to claim the life-changing lotto prize they will be given the choice to take a once off pay-out worth R317.2 million, or claim it in annuity instalments over 30 years.

Krass however already has his bonus for selling the winning Mega Millions usa lotto ticket and received the $30,000 ceremonial cheque on Monday.

Can you imagine what the winner must be going through right now? Do they go public? Do they let family and friends know the good news now? Imagine their list of things to spend the money on?

When Krass was asked he would do, he said, “Enjoy it. You can do a lot of good for yourself, for those around you.”

“We’re like family here. I’m just happy it’s one of your regulars, someone, hopefully, that could use the money and that can do good with it.”

Other workers at the store said, “No, it’s not me. I wish! I wouldn’t be here working today.”

“Oh my God. (I would) go to Florida, get away from this weather,” said another.

Another, “Donate to charity and start a new life.”

With everyone in store on a Mega Millions lotto high, Krass gave his workers a little bonus too.

“This is life-changing money,” Krass said. “I promised my employees before realizing the amount that they were all going to get a bonus, and we’re going to keep to that.”

With Karma like that, we certainly hope Mr Krass also plays the Mega Millions. After all what goes around, comes around.

Speaking of which – have you bought your lucky Mega Millions Max lottery ticket right here at yet?
