The Monday & Wednesday Lotto is played in all states and territories, but was originally a New South Wales game with its first draw all the way back on November 5th,1979. Both Monday and Wednesday draws carry a Division 1 prize of $1 million for each winner, with occasional “Super Draws” conducted on Monday nights which boast of a $5 million Division 1 prize.
HOW TO PLAY:
The Division 1 prize offer is $1 million guaranteed for up to a total of four winners in each Monday and Wednesday individual lotto draw. What this means is that …
•If there is only one winner they receive $1 million
•If there are two, three or four winners they will each receive $1 million
•If there are more than four winners, the $4 million prize pool will be equally divided among them (e.g. five winners will receive $800,000)
In the event of a lack of jackpot prizing, the first division prize is used to fund improved offers and special draw days such as Double Win Days, etc. where all prizes are doubled across all divisions.
The largest of the weekly jackpot lotto games was a win in January 2009. The amazing win amounted to a brilliant $6 million, and was with the Wednesday Lotto game.
WHEN TO PLAY:
The draw days for these games are self-explanatory with Monday Lotto having its draw on Monday’s at 8.30pm AEST and Wednesday Lotto with its draws on Wednesday’s at 8.30pm AEST as well.
